At the Game Awards gala, we learned the release date for titles like First Berserker Khazan, and we also learned about the new title of Joseph Fares called Divided fiction. As the name and the history of Hazellight Studios suggest, it is a split-screen cooperative video game.
In Split Fiction we control a Mio Yes Zoewho are two writers from very different genres (one writes science fiction and the other fantasy), who find themselves trapped in their own stories after being hooked up to a machine designed to steal their creative ideas. The perfect excuse for the type of video game created by GOTY winner Josef Fares.
The protagonists will have to support each other to emerge with their memories intact, working together to master different skills and overcoming challenges while jumping between the worlds of science fiction and fantasy in this story of unexpected friendship. It's a unique action-adventure experience that keeps you on the edge of your seat with unexpected moments.
One moment you'll be taming adorable dragons and the next you'll be battling cyber ninjas, escaping terrifying trolls, or dodging flying cars launched by a parking robot. It’s a rare and wild experience designed to be shared.

Split Fiction will arrive on March 6 from 2025 to Xbox Series X|SPlaystation 5 and PC. The game will be priced at $49.99 ($44.99 with EA Play or Game Pass Ultimate) and will be composed of technologies such as HDR10, Dolby Atmos, 4k HD Ultra resolution and 60 FPS mode.
