Another difference, crucial in this case, is that where the previous one put us in levels created for the occasion, in this sequel we find levels created in a procedural way. We have several locations (Laboratory, Disco, Yakuza …) but both the elements of the place itself, as well as the enemies appear at random.
The story itself, you can see it on two levels. The game assaults you with an introductory level, and as soon as you complete it, the game credits appear.. After that, you can continue playing. And the credits will attack you again. Once that is done, the game sends us directly to a level map, in which we will do the same all the time. But with variations.
Here comes into play another of the biggest differences from the previous one and where you see that it really is another kind of game. From that moment on, the game drops 3 lives on us, and a series of “hacks” which are abilities that will help us keep going.
And believe me, you will need it. Every new level you pass there will be MORE enemies, MORE dangers. And to top it off, all of these enemies will take on new forms and new problems. From enemies that you can only attack in one part of the body, to enemies that will explode when falling to the ground, throwing shards that will hurt us.
In addition, from time to time we will have new skills at our disposal. Not all of these skills will be available from the start, but in each section of the map we will go through levels and select skills to use, having to reject others along the way.
We didn’t come to play SuperHot because of its graphics. It’s been clear since 2016, when it wasn’t even a big benchmark. However, if this they are unique
SuperHot has charm. A very personal one, which not everyone will like because of its apparent simplicity, but who hugs you and accompanies you for as long as you want to spend with andl.
