The Coalition has been quiet for a long time, at least compared to its flagship (and so far only) franchise. We’ve seen how the batteries were put together with the new Unreal Engine 5, but since 2020 when they released HiveBusters, the Gears 5 expansion, and successive multiplayer updates to it, we don’t haven’t heard anything about the already-awaited Gears 6.
We also don’t know if it will be called Gears 6, as the end of the fifth installment left us with a twisted face at the possibilities they left open. But what we have just learned is that, as expected, they are already preparing the next installment, judging by a Microsoft website job posting where they stated the following:
The Coalition is looking for a Motion Capture Technician to work on their Gears of War franchise, where the successful candidate will help “ensure high quality capture/data during filming.”
Gears 6 where are you?
Currently, the lead role is for Halo Infinite, but there aren’t a few Gears fans who are starting to raise their voices for a new installment in their favorite franchise. For this reason, every bit of news about the future Gears 6, knowing all that it will mean both plot-wise and graphically, excites us all.
The Xbox Series X has been with us for 18 months now, and in terms of exclusives, none have yet “tested” it enough to make us think there’s a graphical ceiling. Gears 6 would be one of the contenders to do just that, just like its fifth installment did on Xbox One X, where it looked brutal.
