The GG Bavaria Munich Gaming Convention starts this weekend.
On February 25th and 26th, 2023, GG Bavaria celebrates its debut in Munich with a unique and diverse mix of topics. Numerous exhibitors from Bavaria find space at the convention to present their games and projects on more than 1,000 m².
Bavaria’s Minister of State for Digital Affairs, Judith Gerlach, welcomed game developers, publishers, creative professionals and friends of the games industry to Bavaria yesterday at 5 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, the gates at GG Bavaria will open to anyone who is interested. There is a lot going on on both days from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Games can be tried out, options for jobs and courses in the games industry can be explored and stage programs can be experienced. Indie games, e-sports, anime, cosplay and nerd culture – GG Bavaria has something to offer for everyone.
GG Bavaria means two days full of:
- Indie games from all corners of Bavaria – including Emergo Entertainment GmbH with Fireside, Active Fungus Studios with Dead Silence, and K5 Factory with Trailbouncer VR
- Free Gaming Area with internationally known titles and Free Motion Gaming with Multiball from lymb.io
Content creators from Bavaria playing Bavarian indie games live on stage - Varied stage program with, among others, Germench and LudeCat
- First-class e-sports with Munich eSports (plus the Munich eSports department Super Smash Bros) – on February 25th in the evening the e-sports network meeting south will take place, organized by Munich eSports and supported by the eSports Association Germany ESBD
- Anime focus with an artist alley with 10+ artists, events by Animexx and a costume repair workshop
- Cosplay – Creatives and enthusiasts can take part in the Animexx Cosplay Contest and either enter their own creations or admire those of others
- Nerd Culture – with selected retro games machines and a fine selection of merchandise
- 14 universities and ten regional games companies with games courses and vacancies
- Talks, workshops and career tips for (lateral) entry into the games industry
