In 1997, Rare released exclusively for Nintendo 64, GoldenEye 007; a first-person shooter game based on the famous secret agent 007. This game was an adaptation of the 1995 film, receiving both very positive reviews and selling the game over 8 million copies.
At the end of January 2021, several hours of an alleged remaster of the game were leaked, which was to be released on Xbox consoles. It is true that this project corresponds to the year 2007, but it is not unreasonable that they are currently working on something similar; and less after Microsoft create a list of achievements for the game and that recently some of the maintainers of Rare have unlocked some.
GoldenEye 007 could be ready for launch
James Thomas, chief engineer at Rare, appears to have tested the Xbox port of GoldenEye 007, as the well-known website True Achievements captured the movement in the game’s achievements associated with its gamertag. Also, Thomas is an old acquaintance who brings N64 games, so might be checking the final details Game.
All this would coincide with the latest news related to the game, who knows, maybe we will see it on the 12th during the Xbox and Bethesda event.
