Today, the Grounded Team is excited to bring the biggest update yet to the game with the Mushroom and downfall To update. For those who didn’t see the reveal trailer during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, this addition to the backyard brings brand new features, community requested features, and the game’s first boss.
First the shroom part of the update. While there were mushrooms in the yard from the start, players can now harvest mushrooms for their mushroom pieces and use the new mill and oven to turn them into mushroom bricks to build their own castle-like fortifications.
Obviously, in order to get the recipes for the grinder and oven, the correct BURG.L chip is required, so players should prepare to enter the newly opened (and still work-in-progress) vapor laboratory. But adventurers be warned: The ARC.R, a new ranged variant of the TAYZ.T, roams the laboratory, ready to attack, and would be an intruder.
That’s not the only enemy waiting to confront players in the backyard. The ones who went to the back yard last year when Grounded
Those brave enough to take on the brood mother will find a multi-phase boss fight that shouldn’t be taken lightly. She is the most challenging creature in the backyard to date, and it is highly recommended that players bring friends to help defeat her. Those who defeat them can get items to craft a special new item, so gear up, make sure mutations are equipped, and good luck!
That’s not all! The Mushroom and downfall Update is packed with new building items. To name a few, there’s the new roof made of crow feathers, curved doors, half walls, half curved walls and pillars! There is even the option of flipping certain structures such as the spiral staircase, acorn railing, and triangular walls. The possibilities of basic construction are getting even stronger.
The Grounded Team is not finished there yet. Throughout the game preview process, the team listened to community feedback and worked to bring some highly sought-after community features to the game. With this update, the team is excited to announce that three of these features will soon see the light of day!
Pets come first! One of the most requested features in the game, players can now try the first phase of the pet system by taming their own pet aphid or weevil. You can even give it a name of your own and make it feel even worse if something bad happens to him in the backyard. Second is the ability to take a breather and sit. No, really, people really wanted to be able to sit and the team gave it to them. And finally, successes! Those who want to work on increasing their player score (and showing off rights) can do so now with the first achievement.
The Grounded Team always welcomes all of the great feedback the community has given to make the game even better as they keep building the game ahead of the 1.0 release.
