GTA V is one of the most popular games in history. Originally released in 2013, this opus will soon be released in a version optimized for the next generation consoles: Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If we already knew some of the improvements that this new version offers, today Rockstar revealed the different graphic modes of the game.

Three graphics modes available

Three modes will be available on next-gen consoles:

  • Loyalty: 4K native (4K upscale on Xbox Series S) – 30 frames per second – Ray Tracing
  • performance : 4K Upscale (1080p on Xbox Series S) – 60 frames per second
  • performance RT (Only on Xbox Series X/PS5): a hybrid mode that combines 4K upscale resolution, ray tracing and 60 frames per second.

Many other improvements will also be included, with an increase in the population of the city, higher plant density, better management of light and reflections. More technical elements like anti-aliasing, motion blur and explosions have also been improved.

GTA Online available as a standalone game

In addition to the integration in GTA V

, GTA Online will be available as a standalone. A new tutorial and some in-game improvements will be available to make the different activities easier to access. As a reminder, it will be possible to transfer your character GTA Online from old-gen versions to this new version starting March 15th via the Rockstar Games Social Club.

The pre-orders of GTA V and GTA Online starts on March 8th. You can find the trailer of this new version of GTA V under :
