Halo Infinite came into our lives late last year, garnering mostly good reviews from the gaming community and the media. As you know, the game was supposed to release a year earlier alongside the launch of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but Microsoft decided to delay it to finish polishing it.

At the time, everyone seemed to like Microsoft screwing up Halo. The press, the fans, anyone who thought that was the end of Halo. Creating Halo isn’t easy, and being in this big situation was very intimidating. The development team argued that it would not be a game to be proud of.
It was very important for us as a team to bring back Halo for the launch of the new console, to create a unique moment. The postponement was an incredibly painful decision as it would have been a big step for the company to be there at that time. It would have been a good time for Halo to be there, but it wasn’t. It’s the right thing to do for Infinite, and it was the right thing to do for the team.
