BROKEN is an extraction shooter in which teams of three players (or solo) compete to collect and extract artifacts from the remote Island X. Players (also known as Forsaken) compete to secure and extract artifacts that can only be achieved by fighting monsters, other players, solving puzzles, and avoiding traps.
So the first team to extract the artifacts from the island wins the game. To make each match rewarding, players can also mine smaller treasures, leaving the island (dead or alive) with useful currency that they can then spend to upgrade their characters. Something similar to what happens in titles like Escape from Tarkov
With this in mind, the executive producer, Andy Duthie is excited to welcome new platform players: “While we were developing BROKEN, we wanted to design the ultimate treasure hunting experience. A title that would provide that feeling of adventure in every session. That it was accessible and aimed to create a fun experience in every game. That’s why, from the beginning, we thought about consoles. We hope players will have fun hunting together, cross-playing, and wreaking havoc on X-Isle. All while collecting artifacts and becoming legendary treasure hunters.
The first season is here
The launch also marks the start of the first season of the game: Forsaken. In Forsaken, players will explore the island alongside treasure hunting company GRAIL. New mysteries and secrets will be revealed throughout the season, culminating in an explosive climax at the end.
For the launch of the PC and console versions, new improvements have been introduced. Player movements have been revised to make them more fluid and intuitive. The interface and shooting system have also been improved based on player feedback during Early Access.
Finally, we remind you that the game developed by MY.GAMES is now available for download.
