Microsoft, Bethesda and id Software announced today that the hellish shooter will be released in May 2025.
Today the official release date for DOOM: The Dark Ages was revealed. The hellish shooter will be released on May 15, 2025 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one!
Inspired by the original DOOM, players slaughter each other in brutal, powerful battles across demon-infested battlefields, soar into the sky on the wild Mecha Dragon and crush gigantic demons to pulp in the huge Atlan Mech.
In addition to devastating favorites like the Super Shotgun, enemies can now also be shredded with a range of new bone-crushing weapons, including the all-new, versatile Shield Saw.
Now join Marty, Hugo and the id Software team on their first gameplay deep dive on DOOM: The Dark Ages:
Developed by id Software, DOOM: The Dark Ages is the prequel to the critically acclaimed DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, telling an epic, cinematic tale of the rage of the DOOM Slayer.
In this third installment of the modern DOOM series, players slip into the bloodstained boots of the DOOM slayer and experience a dark and sinister medieval war against hell like never before.
