There will be no changes to the available memory for games when switching to a higher resolution for the dashboard.
We previously reported that Xbox Insiders can now try out the Xbox Series X dashboard, guide and home area in a higher resolution when the Xbox Series X is connected to a 4K TV or monitor.
After this announcement, the question arose whether as a result developers would have less RAM available for their games in the future. Jason Ronald was able to give the all-clear to this question and confirmed that there will be no changes to the available memory for games if you switch to a higher resolution for the dashboard.
The higher dashboard resolution does not eat up any unnecessary memory and so everyone can hopefully soon switch to the new resolution without hesitation.
