Hi everyone, this is Sandro, Game Designer at Digital Kingdom. Today I would like to take a little time to give you an insight into the development of our game sword fight and the things we learned to take the concept of dodging to a whole new level… buckle up!

Let’s start here, the original idea for sword fight came from Ben, our artist. He wanted to create a game that felt like a chase scene in a James Bond movie. The player should feel the tension of being pursued by enemies without the ability to fire back at them. Let’s do something so intense that you can hold your breath and feel the water on your face! Four years later we are proud to introduce you sword fight, a roguelike with no shooting and lots of water. The game is about using skill and precision to not only dodge enemy fire, but also to get them to take out each other.

mixed with obliterate. You will find the tactical gameplay and roguelike structure of into the breach with the speed of obliterate. We designed the game so that each run presents a different challenge than the previous one. While the game starts off with basic enemies, new features are unlocked as you increase your high scores. These include weather, active powers for your swordship, new enemies that attack with fire and electricity, and other surprises that expand the range of possibilities.

One of the main features of sword fight is its delivery system. In the game you play as Robin Hood of the future. You have to steal containers from the rich to give to the poor. It is important to us to make the player feel that giving means something to lose. At the end of each level, you’ll have to decide whether you want to keep your containers for extra lives and upgrades, or give them away for points. Keep them to yourself and you increase your chances of completing the game. Gift them and you’ll increase your chances of reaching the top of the leaderboards. what will you choose

With sword fight We want to offer you a difficult but fair experience. Of course, the game won’t do you any favors, but it will always reward you for your efforts.

We hope you will enjoy playing the game as much as we had making it. See you on the leaderboards!

Swordship is a futuristic, lightning-fast dodge game that flips the script of the traditional arcade shooter. Turn both the tide of battle and enemies on yourself by dodging, weaving, and diving through an onslaught of enemies bent on tearing apart your swordship. This addictive action roguelike pushes you to make split-second decisions that will either bring you a glorious victory against tyranny and injustice and become a symbol of hope for The Banished, or see your unsung exploits sink to the bottom of the sea. With an adrenaline pumping soundtrack that will soon be a modern classic, this game will transport you to a gritty, watery future. Features: Weapons are cool, but dodging is your best weapon: The Swordship’s maneuverability allows you to outwit the enemy by tactically positioning and dodging enemy fire. Choose to risk it all by stockpiling stolen containers for massive point boosts, or play it safe for passive upgrades and additional ships to suit your playstyle. Weather: Learn to master the different weather conditions to get through the randomly generated levels after global warming. Mankind has taken refuge in three gigantic underwater cities at the bottom of the ocean. Those driven out of the cities for lack of space barely survive on the burnt lands. In the meantime, the megacities exchange millions of containers with goods every day. At the command of ultra-fast boats, some residents of the underwater cities began stealing these precious containers to deliver to the exiles. Some are more successful than others.
