Two years after the last chapter, Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The official video game will be on April 10, 2025 for the Xbox series X | S published. Early access begins on April 7th. As the game director of this franchise, it is both an honor and a challenge, since this new installment path has a complete renovation of the series from the ground up.
This was made possible thanks to the valuable contributions by Experts Community members with whom we have conducted an open dialogue throughout the development to identify areas of improvement. Listening to your feedback was of fundamental importance for the creation of a gaming experience, which would really fulfill the wishes of our players, and above all the decision to take on a semi -annual development plan, it also enabled us to play with the introduction of unreal engine 5 to reinforce.
The exact Supercross tracks so far so far
Before diving into the gameplay facets, indicate one of the biggest changes in relation to the content, such as Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The official video game The current season will be available for the first time in the history of the franchise with 2025 drivers, tracks and Liveries on the first day. This has never been done because of the structure of Supercross. In fact, every track only exists for the few days of the event and then has disappeared forever.
To achieve this, we had to use another technology; While we used photogrammetry technology in the past, this time we were able to access the blueprints of the 2025 tracks in advance to reproduce them in the game engine without additional photo reference. This is a new and other method with which you can discover the tracks before the real events – and real drivers can also train with the game before the championship final!
Building with the community
As we have already mentioned, we have worked with some of the most important Supercross creators who asked you to test the game in different stages of development. When we listen to their opinions, we have learned and optimized many elements such as the animations of the drivers, which are now more fluent and more realistic than ever. Another crucial feature that the community helped us is bicycle handling. Thanks to them, we have implemented a new bicycle balance system with which newcomers can enjoy the adrenaline of Supercross and veterans to achieve better performance.
The most important thing is that the community has built us up from scratch when reconstruction of the riding physics. You will find many changes on site: the steering angle, traction and tire contact were all revised to create a more urgent experience. In contrast, in-air physics was completely revolutionized. A renewed stick control system offers you full control over the in-air movement, which we have never done in the past, and now enables you to decide how to both the driver and the weight of the driver and with the Can manage bike. With the new physics, carrying out whip and peels will be much more worthwhile and those who master these movements will have even greater advantages.
Upgrade to unreal engine 5
From a technical point of view, unreal engine 5 allowed us to create functions that we thought was impossible thanks to chaos, physics engine. For the first time, the route will be alive, just like the community it wanted, with a new system that will question it for rounds. In a real Supercross race, the route is actually modified by the existence of the drivers, creating ruts on the ground. One of the many talents of the pilots is to interpret these stires to find the best trajectory. The new ruts system simulates the Track Evolution so that you have to find the best way for every round.
With Unreal Engine 5, we were able to implement a neural AI system for the first time that will completely change the way rivals behave during a race. In fact, the neuronal AI is exactly designed like a real driver: we let hundreds and hundreds of times test them to learn how to approach corners and jumps.
While we were working on this new feature, we stood two of the project's biggest challenges: First, we had to teach the AI how to handle the new ruts system. We have achieved it by training what we call “agents”, namely the AI-controlled drivers on the same route in different phases of the soil deterioration so that they can learn how to deal with the different situations a supercross driver can meet during a race. Second, we had to train the AI how to deal with the air sections. Thanks to these technical achievements, the AI can now drive on user -generated tracks, and we can hardly wait for our community to enjoy this impressive milestone.
The new AI is also an important element of the new career mode we have developed. Here you become an essential part of the Supercross universe, thanks to a dynamic system full of challenges and tests to become the most successful driver. I can't say too much here, so stay tuned to find out what we have in stock for you.
Thank you for your time and attention.
