Cat Quest III invites us to explore worlds in a hacking aesthetic that brings new features and implementations. Are you ready, little boy?
Perseverance and dedication. There are studies like The good brothers who pour their heart and soul into improving a playable concept that is fundamentally quite good. We saw the evolution with one of their projects, both visually and playable. And now, besides a good facelift, we will have a new theme based on hacking and treasure hunting on the high seas. A concept that fits you like a glove Cat Quest III. We were able to try early access, and now it’s time to take off and tell you about our experiences.
Felines at sea
In order not to lose good traditions, in the third part of the franchise We will continue to control a feline eager to discover secrets and open treasure chests.
Watch out for Pirates!
Even though we only got to play early access for about an hour and a half, we can already get an idea of what we’re going to find. Both on land and at sea, we will have to explore every corner of the islands around us. The most striking thing in Cat Quest III is precisely the way we move around the stage.
Everything is on a disproportionate scale, with our feline protagonist moving around a huge world map that has no logic in terms of distances. Of course, if we enter a dungeon or a cave, everything already has “more standardized measurements”.
This means there aren’t many empty areas. Neither boring trips on the high seas, nor endless walks on foot. In this early access it is true that everything was limited, I no longer know if it is because it is a preliminary version or because until you manage to complete the current mission the following section does not don’t open. Anyway, between exploration, secondary missions and various secrets we will let ourselves be distracted by Gatoribe.
Fight with nails and fangs
Our hero (or heroine) of Cat Quest III will have a very comprehensive skill set. From sword attacks, pistol shots to a range of magic that we will unlock as we find the right scrolls. We are not faced with a like souls to use… but it will be important to read the rivals’ attacks so as not to die trying.
The advantage of exploration itself is that we can equip ourselves with weapons and skills according to our fighting style, and that little by little we can level up to improve our statistics if we see that a final boss resists us.
Impressions of Cat Quest III
The Gentle Bros and Kepler Interactive are back with one of their favorite sagas. On this occasion, we will continue to experience a very colorful and dynamic adventure featuring pretty kittens. Of course, all with a significant facelift and with a setting based on hacking. This implies that in addition to fighting with swords, guns and magic, we will also take to the sea with our small boat between the Gatoribe Islands.
In terms of gameplay, it is a title that draws heavily from its predecessors. We will have intense battles against final bosses, exploration and secrets on each islet. All in a very fluid and dynamic way, with constant improvements to your character meaning you always “want” to improve your stats and attributes. In addition, we will have cooperation in case we want to give sword blows to a friend. We’ll see how the final version turns out, but for now the search for the North Star that Cat Quest III offers seems very satisfying. Soon, on August 8 exactly, we will dispel doubts.
