Impressions of Serial Cleaners, we played it at Gamescom

505 invited us to try out Serial Cleaners, an action stealth game that stole our hearts for its gameplay and art style

The good people of 505 games He invited us to test several of the titles that will be released in the coming months behind closed doors. The game with which we had the most fun is without a doubt Serial cleaners. A stealth and action game in which we can embody 4 different characters, each with their own abilities and style of play.

Serial Cleaners is set in the 90s,

with clear references to great movies like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction or Terminator 2. Visual style that also mixes with the musical currents of the time, such as the beginnings of hip hip or jazz music.
The retro art style, with image filters to add even more to the 90s era, looks fantastic, with lots of personality.
At a playable level, our mission will be to clean up a crime scene before the police arrive on the scene to collect evidence and dispose of the bodies.

Like we said before, each character has unique physical characteristics and abilities making it possible to propose a different strategy at each phase. Among these we find a kind of psychopath who likes to get rid of corpses with his chainsaw. An athletic girl with whom to leave the crowd behind by running through the zone or even confronting them. Another young woman of smaller size, specialist in hacking terminals and who will be able to sneak through the ventilation ducts and escape through places only she can access (the funniest in my opinion). And finally, our protagonist, a quiet middle-aged man who is tasked with cleaning up the blood with a vacuum cleaner and keeping the group together.

The scenarios, viewed from an isometric camera, are packed with visual detail and playable options. We will have to come up with the best plan according to our skills to obtain all the necessary evidence: to make bodies disappear, to collect incriminating evidence or to clean up the crime scene. To do this, we can distract the police in different ways, either with noises, hacking terminals or leaving them dazed by hitting them with a door.

A very fun proposal, both artistically and playfully, that we will have available very soon. Serial Cleaners will be released on September 22 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Switch and PC.
