Indie Box – Taurian Defense, 2000G arcade shooter is looking for motivated players

With the Indie Box, the entire XboxSquad editorial team offers you mini reviews of very little known or featured indie games. While some don’t deserve to step out of the shadows of the Xbox Marketplace, others might be worth a look. That is the whole subject of this section.

Arcade shooter designed by Studio Initus Interactive, Taurian Defense landed its warships on Xbox today, but we’re not sure we’ll remember it for long. It’s simple, during the two hours I spent on this test I felt like I was playing a stamped title Xbox Live Arcade on Xbox360. At the same time, the IdXbox program is its worthy heir, one might say, and Taurian Defense the perfect example.

Without great claim Taurian Defense has all the essentials at all levels to keep you busy for an evening, but don’t ask for much more. Let’s immediately forget the totally expendable scenario to focus on our goal: destroy everything! At the controls of three ships with different capacities but relatively similar maneuverability, you must either defend a base or destroy enemy positions. Six missions including three tutorials are available from the start of the game and that’s it.

In terms of achievement, almost all of them are linked to the success of the various missions/objectives, so don’t worry about completing the title quickly at 1000G, especially since there is a cheat code to activate a sort of god mode. In addition, though Taurian Defense

In the end I advise you to go your way unless you are really a fan of this kind of small arcade shooters or you just want to increase your Gscore. So no, the title isn’t bad per se, but it’s only 20 years late and sadly empty.
