A section of a photo from the Gaza War is said to have been used for artwork for the next Battlefield spin-off.
In mid-September last year, Electronic Arts published the first artwork for the upcoming Battlefield spin-off, which should once again be based on a modern setting.
While speculation about a possible location in Gibraltar arose shortly after the concept image was released, there are now allegations that parts of the image were based on a photo from the Gaza War.
The match was discovered by X user Emad Alden. His post compares the affected sections of the artwork and the photo of a bomb attack in Gaza taken by Reuters on May 12, 2021, although a very strong similarity cannot be denied.
Even though Electronic Arts and DICE most likely did not use the war photo with malicious intent, the fact is still causing debate. There is currently no statement from the companies.
