According to the new terms and conditions, content creators will also be punished for violations outside of Riot Games games with a ban.
With the turn of the year, content creators who play games from developer Riot Games (including Valorant and League of Legends) not only have to make sure that they adhere to the terms of use in-game.
As the developer says, creators will also be banned if the violation occurs outside of the actual game. For example, if they say insulting or denigrating statements about other players that did not directly fall in the game. So it's enough if a game is running in the background of the stream.
The Terms of Service, effective January 3, 2025, state in part: “If you say or do things that violate our Terms of Service while distributing or creating content through our games, we may restrict access to your Riot Accounts ( and suspend your partner privileges if you are part of our partner program)”
“While we will not proactively monitor everything that happens on social media, it is now within our rights to impose in-game penalties if this content is brought to our attention.”
