A Pocketpair community manager has recommended fans play other games while waiting for new content in Palworld.
“Bucky” is a community manager at Pocketpair and shared his thoughts on the development of Palworld on X. He recommended that fans who are waiting for new content to try out different games in the meantime.
Almost a month has passed since Palworld went into early access and quickly recorded 19 million players on Steam and Xbox. The database SteamDB peaked at 2.1 million concurrent players shortly after release.
The number has now fallen to around 500,000, which has again been discussed in media reports.
Bucky wrote of the numbers and reports: “With Palworld approaching the 1-month mark, it’s interesting to look back at my own thoughts on the launch.”
“In May 2023, I was convinced that Palworld could break the 50,000 player mark. Anything beyond that seemed unattainable and I never expected it to reach the million mark.”
“It’s taken years to get to this point, and Palworld is just getting started here. Everyone is working hard to fix the issues and prepare new content and Pals. Some of you may have had fun over the last 3 weeks and then put the game aside. That’s fine.”
“This emerging discourse of “Palworld has lost It’s okay to take breaks from games. You don’t have to feel bad about it. Palworld, like many other games, is unable to release massive amounts of new content on a weekly basis. New content will come and it will be great, but these things take a little time.”
“There are so many great games to play; You don’t have to feel guilty about jumping from game to game.”
“If you still play Palworld, we love you. If you don’t play Palworld anymore, we still love you, and we hope you come back for Round 2 when you’re ready.”
“Play lots of games, try different genres, and browse indie libraries often to find hidden gems.”
Even developer Pocketpair is overwhelmed by the great success and needs additional staff to support the creation of new content.
What do you think of Bucky’s suggestion? Which game do you think is suitable for quick resume jumping on the Xbox?
