After the early Cretaceous pack in December Jurassic World Evolution 2: Camp Chalk Dinosaur Pack brings you even more spectacular prehistoric species to expand your parks.
It’s our first pack inspired by the hit animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Based on the popular Netflix series from Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation Jurassic world evolution 2The latest DLC from features prehistoric species that have trampled and stalked your screens over four seasons.
The exciting new pack adds two all-new dinosaurs to the game, as well as two new variants for existing species and eight eye-catching skins to bring your park to life. So let’s detail what’s in the pack. First, there’s the Scorpios Rex, a fearsome carnivore with blood-red eyes, charcoal scales, prominent spines, and jagged teeth. It’s also something of a milestone in genetic engineering, as it’s one developed by Dr. Wu’s first hybrid creations is. Expect aggression from this experimental dinosaur. And make sure your fences are secure because trust me, you really don’t want a Scorpios Rex on the loose.
Next up is the Monolophosaurus, a mid-Jurassic medium-sized carnivore. Its prominent crest helps intensify the roar and aids in communication between other members of its kind, just like you saw on the show. There’s the Ouranosaurus, a peaceful herbivore with a broad snout and tall spikes on its back that support a fat, camel-like hump. As a social species used to living in large herds, you’ll want to ensure multiple individuals share the same enclosure.
And to round out the pack’s four prehistoric species comes the Kentrosaurus, a docile herbivore covered in deadly-looking spines. These protrude from its shoulders and hips, giving the Kentrosaurus an effective means of defense when threatened.
With bespoke behaviors and needs, not to mention their unique designs, the additions to the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack are ready to help you expand your park. And they’re accompanied by eight stunning skins that let you customize existing dwellers with brand new cosmetics. Again, these are all inspired by dinosaurs from Camp Cretaceous.
There is a skin based on Bumpy the Ankylosaurus, three Baryonyx skins based on Grim, Limbo and Chaos, a Tyrannosaurus Rex skin based on Big Eatie, a Carnotaurus skin based on Toro and two absolutely amazing Parasaurolophus Lux skins that are bioluminescent meaning they actually glow in the dark. They really are a beautiful sight at night. I love how all the skins have come together and can’t wait for you guys to check them out in game.
The Frontier team spent a lot of time making sure that both the eight skins and the four dinosaurs are as authentic as possible. To get this just right, we had a blast watching back-to-back episodes of the series for countless hours, and enjoyed referring to detailed behind-the-scenes notes and research materials provided by our good friends at Universal and DreamWorks Animations were provided. It was a nice excuse to reflect on how the campers dealt with the myriad of dangers they encountered after being abandoned on Isla Nublar.
Fans of the show will enjoy the experience of managing their favorite Camp Cretaceous dinosaurs. Even if you’ve never watched a single episode of an animated series, there’s still a lot to love about our new dinosaur pack. I’m so excited that you’re all going to play it, and you can do so now by purchasing it on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
