game station held for the first time game state The events of March 9, 2022, the vast majority of game announcements or teasers we’ve seen come from Sony’s development partners in Japan.
Granted, the show is only 20 minutes long, but 20 minutes is pretty tight — we’ve seen the debuts of big new games, as well as more esoteric projects, and even some retro recaps. Since we know you all have very busy lives (and a lot of Elden Ring bosses to beat), we took the time to go through everything we’ve seen on the show for you to read.

Capcom reveals Exoprimal, coming to PS4 and PS5 in 2023
At Sony’s State of Play 2022 showcase, Capcom announced Exoprimal, a new game about saving a city from falling dinosaurs. It sounds silly and seems to be somewhere between Anthem and Dino Crisis. True.
“Let’s set the stage first: the year is 2043. For unknown reasons, a mysterious vortex has been opening, unleashing an endless swarm of dinosaurs in the modern world,” reads the title description. “We’re about to see a vicious struggle for survival in the near future between brave alien warriors and ferocious creatures from the distant past that threaten humanity’s extinction.”
The game will top the PS4 and PS5, with no other platforms announced yet.

Luminous Productions’ Forspoken was pushed back to October 11th earlier this week, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t showing on State of Play. It’s also probably the best the game has looked at so far – maybe the lag is a good thing for the game, after all.
Forspoken, formerly known as Project Athia, is in development with Luminous Productions. It will be available for PC and PS5.

Devolver Digital has released the latest trailer for feudal Japan-themed samurai game Trek to Yomi, a cinematic action game with a stunning art style and perspective. It’s no secret that we love the look of this one.
Devolver says the game is all about “patience and timing” — they’re the keys to Yomi’s success, taking advantage of your enemies’ blows against them. Most of the enemies in the trailer are humans, but the description also hints at “creatures thought to be little more than folktales.”
Trek to Yomi will release in Spring 2022 for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
