Trailer for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns introduces Sektor as a new character.
Warner Bros. Games has already released a new gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, introducing Sektor, one of six new playable characters that will be part of Mortal Kombat 1 with the expansion.
The trailer shows Sektor’s abilities and moves and reveals the first new story elements.
In the new era of fire god Liu Kang, Sektor grew up in the midst of the Lin Kuei culture. Her father was their master weaponsmith and her mother was a high-ranking warrior. The great knowledge of weapons and martial arts that her parents passed on to her makes Sektor a fighter who is second to none.
Since Sub-Zero saw her as a like-minded person, he shared his great vision for the future of the Lin Kuei with her and appointed her as his most trusted lieutenant. Sektor has set himself the goal of forcing the Lin Kuei to evolve and eliminating all those who cannot change.
Sektor’s deadly abilities are clearly shown in the new trailer, with particular emphasis on the advanced weapons she uses to destroy her enemies, including missiles, a flamethrower, and rocket thrusters that increase her mobility and give her the ability to hover.
The video also features a look at Sektor’s Animality, the brutal finishing move that transforms her into a rhinoceros to destroy her defeated opponents. The fan-acclaimed Animalitys will be available as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners with the release of Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns on September 24th.
Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is a new expansion for Mortal Kombat 1, the latest installment in the critically acclaimed Mortal Kombat franchise, and was developed by the award-winning NetherRealm Studios.
The game has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide to date. The expansion ushers in the next phase of the genre-defining story, which revolves around peace and anarchy.
There are brand new chapters in story mode (available September 24th) and also Kombat Pack 2, which includes six playable characters: Cyrax, Sektor and Noob Saibot (available September 24th), as well as guest fighters Ghostface (Scream franchise), T-1000 (Terminator 2: Judgment Day) and Conan the Barbarian (post-launch release date to be announced at a later date).
Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns will be released digitally on September 24th at 5:00 p.m. for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
Anyone who pre-orders Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns will receive four new character skins, including Wedding Scorpion, Empress Mileena, and classic Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 versions of Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot (available September 24).
