Kojima will only work with its own IPs and will not use others' licenses

Kojima is one of the geniuses of the video game world. During his time at Konami, he left us the fantastic Metal Gear Solid saga, as well as an incredible concept for a new Silent Hill game. However, he parted ways with the developer and began his own journey, where Death Stranding has already left us, which is available on PC Game Pass, and is currently working on both its sequel and an Xbox exclusive horror.

But there hasn’t been a day since his departure from Konami that Kojima’s name and the existence of a company-related project or other third-party licenses haven’t been linked. Something he wanted to deny during his last interview with IGN.

No third-party games for Kojima

Thus, the Japanese creator has affirmed that the idea of his study is to continue working with his own IP and not with the license of third parties. That is, at the moment it does not occur to him to start developing a project from another company, such as a new Metal Gear Solid or the widespread Silent Hill.

Kojima Productions is not listed on the stock exchange, so I don’t aim to constantly expand the business. I just want to do a good job and that’s the stance I take when making games while considering doing other types of visual projects. We will maintain the position of creating our own IP and not working with IP licensed by others.
