Digitart Interactive and N-Fusion Interactive announce that their Inca mythology-based action RPG Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards is now available for PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch for $ 19.99. The versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will follow.
In Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards, comic book creator and actress Paula Garces (Harold & Kumar series, On My Block, The Shield) plays as Inca demigoddess Aluna and Julio Macias (Oscar ‘Spooky’ Diaz from On My Block) as Aluna’s father, Franicisco Cortes.
Developed by Digiart Interactive and N-Fusion Interactive, Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards is a fast-paced foray into Inca culture with the mythological gods, beasts and stories that formed the backbone of 16th century Colombian culture. Venture from the sea cliffs of Sanctuary through the vast jungles of the New World to Nagaric’s temple in the volcanic gorges in this pulpy adventure of the era.
Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards follows the heroic deeds of Aluna, the bellicose daughter of a Spanish conquistador and the South American nature goddess Pachamama. Raised in Europe in the early 16th century, Aluna escapes to the New World only to find that this is her true home. Aluna: Guardian of the Shards sets our heroine on a journey through Inca mythology to restore the amulet that her divine mother entrusted to her … and to fulfill her true destiny.
Created by Paula Garces and Antonio Hernandez in response to the underrepresentation of Latin American and female superheroes in the entertainment industry, Aluna became a cult hit and currently stars in the ongoing comic saga The World of Aluna, written by the Assassin’s Creed. and Batman: Arkham Origins writers Ryan Galletta, Dooma Wendschuch and Corey May. Aluna also made a name for herself in video games after becoming a playable character in S2 Games’ popular MOBA Heroes of Newerth, where she was played by Paula Garces herself.
