Frontier Foundry, the video game publisher of Frontier Developments and Ratloop Games Canada today shared new details on what gamers can expect in the upcoming beta. The five-day event, which will take place July 22-26, will be PC gamers’ first approach to the action and complexity of this strategic turn-based shooter.
The BETA will include four maps and two game modes, giving players a taste of the tactical challenges that await them in Lemnis Gate. “XM Recovery»Is the first of the two modes available and takes place on the ‘Tectonic Well’ and ‘Career’ maps. Players will need to take advantage of these varied landscapes as part of their strategy. During this time, they will compete against each other to collect as much Exotic Matter (XM) before the time runs out.
In both game modes, you can select the seven agents. Players can deploy the robotic agents Toxin, which spits poison, and Striker, which shortens time. At the same time, players will devise innovative strategies to defeat their opponents. Each of the game’s competitors deploys a new agent at the start of each round of 25 seconds. Strategy geniuses therefore have plenty of room to come up with incredible game plans that span multiple timelines.
