The developer of Wolfenstein, MachineGamesworking on new first-person game, job offer suggests.
Almost six years have passed since the release of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossusand four since the release of its standalone sequel Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Either way, it’s been too long and questions from fans about the future of the franchise continue to mount, especially with the developer. MachineGames currently pursuing a degree IndianaJones.
But AAA studios often have multiple projects in the works, and that seems to be the case at MachineGames. The studio recently posted a job posting for the position of lead animator (as spotted by Tech4gamers), which seems to suggest that it has a new first-person title in the works.
In your qualifications section, the advertisement mentions that for the position one must have a “passion for video games and especially immersive first-person games”, while “a strong familiarity with the titles of MachineGamesalso appears as a need to highlight. The announcement also clearly states that it is related to a AAA project.
Of course, there is no explicit mention of the game referred to here, but with MachineGames hiring staff for a new first-person title, it’s normal to think of a new game of Wolfenstein. Bethesda repeatedly assured fans in recent years that the franchise’s future Wolfenstein that’s for sure, although a sequel hasn’t been announced. That’s why we hope that will finally change in the not too distant future.
