Funcom lets players use dark magic in the big free update to Conan Exiles.
The Age of Sorcery in Conan Exiles begins September 1: In Age of Sorcery, players become corrupted wizards for the first time. To celebrate the massive free update, Conan Exiles will be free to play on Steam September 1-8 and Xbox 8-11.
For this major addition, requested by the community since the game’s launch, Funcom has updated the Conan Exiles key art to better represent the game’s identity in this new age of sword and sorcery.
Age of Sorcery allows players to sacrifice a portion of their life force to control dark forces. This vicious, spooky sorcery requires both preparation and a dash of insanity, rather than traditional fireballs and arcane missiles.
In addition to sorcery, a new attribute and perk system will also be introduced. This gives players more freedom in leveling their characters by choosing between two perks upon reaching certain milestones. Some attributes can also be corrupted to gain special benefits.
A new building interface and creative mode make building faster and easier than ever. There are minion improvements, new wilderness hazards, and a Battle Pass and Store full of cosmetics.
Age of Sorcery is the first season in the new model for Conan Exiles. Each season has its own theme, free content and features, and the paid Battle Pass.
