With the Indie Box, the entire XboxSquad editorial team offers you mini reviews of very little known or featured indie games. While some don’t deserve to step out of the shadows of the Xbox Marketplace, others might be worth a look. That is the whole subject of this section.
First-person puzzle game inspired by titles like portal or The Talos Principle (We’ve seen worse than references), Splits takes place in a futuristic universe where war is raging. Every major city is protected by a vast and impenetrable shield called the “Split,” and the few surviv ing humans beneath these domes try in vain to make a living from the few jobs that have not been delegated to the machines. you are one of them Caught in the conflict by accident, you must infiltrate the virtual system that controls the split.
I inevitably remember works like Tron or controlThe architectural style of the game’s twenty levels is a hit. In addition to acquiring new skills over time through plugins that you can restore, it is above all your ability to manipulate time and create clones of yourself that will allow you to overcome obstacles and solve the many puzzles that are offered to you Splits
While the game needs to be perfectly playable on PC with the keyboard and mouse combo, we still regret that on console it’s less obvious that the controller is at fault. You’ll feel it in areas that require speed and precision, but it’s still playable thanks to the “rewind” function. The success of the question (aside from finding some collectibles) is enough if you complete the first ten levels to get the 1000G. Finally, Splits is a good first-person puzzle game that will keep you entertained for a weekend if you like racking your brains, but not much else.
I loved :
- L’ambiance SF
- Manipulate time to solve puzzles
I’m sorry :
- Maneuverability on the joystick isn’t always at the top
