The creators of the Halo TV series have already revealed that the face of the Master Chief will be shown.
The Halo TV series launches on March 24th on Paramount+. In Germany, Sky Germany will broadcast the series parallel to the USA.
And fans of John-117 will also get to see the protagonist’s face in the series. Kiki Wolfkill, head of Halo Transmedia, told IGN.
As Wolfkill explains, tell a character’s personal story. Therefore, it is important that you also see his face and deal with the person behind the armor and helmet.
They understand and respect when some don’t want to see Master Chef’s face. But the right thing for history is to show it.
Wolfkill also said, “For some people it’s been a moment they’ve been working towards for 20 years and for others it’s something they have a hard time imagining. We respect both sides of the fence, those who really want to see the Chief’s face and those who don’t. But for the nature of this story, it was really important to connect to the Master Chief in a different way, and that meant showing face.”
Since the actor Pablo Schreiber is known to have the leading role and embodies the Master Chief, the face is actually already familiar. Only in the context and in connection with the iconic figure of the Master Chief remains to be seen how the effect will be if he will take off the helmet.
