People love catastrophic rumors, it’s the reality. And if it’s something related to Xbox or one of his studies, even more so. For some strange reason, there are people who sit there behind their screens waiting for American society to hit them or their games to fail. The human mind can sometimes be strange.
One of those apocalyptic rumors challenges two friendly software publishers. Here’s The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics, both working on the new Perfect Dark. An adventure that promises to bring Joanna Dark back to life with a more action-oriented approach and with more modern environments and current graphics.
There is no friction in Perfect Dark
Fans tend to believe these dire claims, especially as we’ve seen this year and much of the past drain of talent working on the game. There has been a wide transfer to other studies, and sometimes with key development figures. To this we add that there has been no progress to show for some time and we have a perfect cocktail (pun intended).
Fortunately, Matt Booty, current head of Xbox Game Studios, stepped in to deny these rumors and ensures that the two studios collaborate successfully.
We have The Initiative in partnership with Crystal Dynamics and online I read rumors that there is a problem, or something, when in fact it is quite the opposite. We have these veterans of a AAA development team like Crystal Dynamics at our disposal, obviously we want to work with them.
