Electronic Arts has announced that EA SPORTS, a leader in interactive sports entertainment, has signed a partnership agreement with two-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen. Through this agreement, the Oracle Red Bull Racing driver will collaborate with the brand to create content across the entire EA SPORTS portfolio. The deal also includes Verstappen’s sponsorship for the 2023 season, with EA SPORTS branding on the front of his helmet.

“Max is a tenacious competitor and a true champion who shares a deep love of games and the game,” said Andrea HopelainSenior Vice President of EA SPORTS & Racing Brand. “As the history of Formula 1 progresses, we are thrilled to partner with one of the greatest athletes in the world to bring together more fans through our EA SPORTS experiences.”.

“From playing with my friends to staying competitive when I’m off the court, EA SPORTS has always been a big part of my life”

said Max Verstappen. “EA SPORTS is an icon for so many millions of fans, and I am proud to represent them in the 2023 season”.

Over the past two seasons Max Verstappen has become one of the biggest names in the sport. After winning his first FIA Formula 1 World Championship in the final race of the 2021 season, Max dominated last year, winning the title at the 2022 JAPAN FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX, with four races remaining.

I’ve traveled to worlds you’d never believe, only to end up with enemies that defy mysticism. I felt my pulse quicken with each battle, and the sigh of someone who knows they will have to get back up. There’s always a villain waiting and an adventure around the corner.
