These weeks have been crazy with the whole issue related to the purchase of Activision Blizzard and the lawsuit that took place due to the blockade caused by the American FTC.
Although the lawsuit was won by Microsoft, the FTC was quick to appeal the judge’s sentence, so one would think that there would still be hurdles to clear before the Redmond company could finalize the purchase once and for all. Luckily, this got a quick response dismissing said appeal.
Prompt dismissal of Activision/Blizzard’s buy call is appreciated
The judge was not the only one to rush to reject the appeal, since after that only the obstacle of the Ninth Judicial Circuit remained, which also rejected the appeal.
These quick actions were appreciated by many people, including the president of Microsoft, who spoke about it on his Twitter account. official twitter
We appreciate the Ninth Circuit’s prompt response denying the FTC’s motion to further delay the Activision settlement. This brings us one step closer to the finish line of this marathon of global regulatory reviews.

Microsoft is very close to taking over Activision/Blizzard and all that that entails, something to which we will be very attentive in the coming days.
