Cessna refined the exceptional design of the 206 with the development of the 207. Launched in 1969, the 207 is a stretched variant of the 206 with an increased fuselage length of 45 inches. Cessna manufactured the 207 from 1969 to 1984, building a total of 626 airframes.
The 207 is known as an exceptional short field and bush transport aircraft. It is powerful, robust and has a practical and spacious design. In addition to its widespread use as an air taxi, the 207 was also used as a skydiving platform and for aerial photography and mapping.
A sports utility vehicle in a class of its own
The 207 was produced in several variants, including the T207A, a turbocharged version first registered in July 1976 and subsequently in September 1979 for eight seats.
