In the long battle to acquire Activision/Blizzard, Microsoft just dropped a bombshell! In a series of tweets, Phil Spencer mentions trade deals that need to be safeguarded call of Duty at Nintendo for at least ten years! But also to maintain the presence of the series on Steam, at the same time as the Xbox releases!
Microsoft has made a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to market @Nintendo after the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard King. Microsoft is committed to bringing more games to more people, no matter what game they choose. @ATVI_AB

News that certainly won’t please Sony, which is doing everything it can to derail the acquisition. Accusing the American giant of wanting to monopolize the FPS sector as CoD (by far) flies the competition. Microsoft is attempting to reassure markets currently exploring this $69 billion deal.
This message is further proof of that call of Duty will not be an Xbox exclusive for years to come!
