Microsoft has been working hard to improve the performance of Windows 11, some of the latest betas have already given hints as to what we can expect, as Dev Channel insiders have already posted about it. But now, thankfully, we have official performance data from Microsoft.
And it is that according to Redmond, patch 2301.40000.4.0 (only available on the Insider channel) offers better performance on computers with AMD or Intel in the guts. The specific part that improves is the frame rate per second. Of course, that’s not the only thing they released in this update, improvements are also included for compatibility with Android apps.

Today, we’re rolling out an update to Windows Subsystem for Android™ in Windows 11 to all Windows Insider channels. This update (2301.40000.4.0) will improve the camera experience, graphics, overall reliability, and security updates.
- Improved audio input latency and reliability
- Camera experience improvements (camera metadata is now exposed to camera apps)
- Framerate performance improvements: Some benchmarks improved by 10-20% on ARM and 40-50% on x64.
- Fixed zooming out of apps using trackpad or mouse.

- Using the latest version of Chromium WebView around version 108.
