Continuing with the business report unearthed by Warner Bros, we now land on the benefits of Mortal Kombat 11. After its release in 2019, it seems that the game was quite popular and managed to rake in half a million dollars in all of its consumables.
As former Warner Bros. Global Brand Manager Matt Welsh shared on LinkedIn, these benefits are the result of all the commercial work that has been done with the brand. Mortal Kombat since its ninth installment, until today with the long-awaited twelfth game, has maintained itself as a massively successful franchise, just like FIFA.
While waiting for Mortal Kombat 12 the figures of the saga are revealed
As we have also just received reports from Warner Bros. Entertainment regarding various games and how happy they are with their video game division, it looks like they will continue to grow and invest in the same way.
Additionally, and following in Ed Boon’s footsteps, it looks like Mortal Kombat 12 is closer than ever and it will carry the same sales strategy as its prequel. With many micro-transactions and expansions over time, this game may be the last of its kind before the series gets a new installment with other themes, like Shaolin Monks.
