For almost 5 years, players from all over the world have been wall walking, throwing kunai and unleashing powerful jutsu abilities Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. This year marks the 5thth th anniversary of the game, and what better way to celebrate this milestone than with a new season! Departure into the new season pass 6 is the latest DLC character expansion, Minato Namikaze (Reanimation). We’ve got some useful tips on how to get the upper hand when playing with this character, as well as some tricks on how to play on the newly renovated map!
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker has explored many themes through its Seasonal Updates. The theme of this Season Pass is “timeline‘ which is a fair representation of this latest playable character. Minato Namikaze is quite important to the lore of the series as he is Naruto Uzumaki’s father as well as Boruto Uzumaki’s grandfather and essentially the beginning of their stories. Deciding to protect his village of Konoha, Minato paid with his life and influenced the fate of his family for generations to come. He returned to the series during the Great Ninja War, having been revived to fight alongside the other Hokage. While his time back in the living world was short, Minato managed to celebrate Naruto’s 17th birthday and bid him one last goodbye just before returning to the afterlife in one of the series’ most emotional moments.
The Fourth Hokage
Fan-favorite character Minato Namikaze (aka the Fourth Hokage) returns to the game – and comes to life! After making the ultimate sacrifice, this resurrected version of Minato is equipped with unique abilities that set him apart from the crowd. Minato Namikaze is a playable character introduced in Season Pass 1 as an attack class type that can freely manipulate distance and engage in close-ranged combat aggressively.
In Season Pass 6, Minato Namikaze (Reanimation) is a defensive class type, although it’s a lot more versatile than you might expect. He is notable for supporting his team as he did when he saved the Ninja Alliance in the Great Ninja War. Like his Season Pass 1 counterpart, Minato Namikaze (Reanimation) is capable of using Flying Raijin Jutsu, allowing it to cover wide areas from great distances. He is adept at everything from high mobility, to battling groups of enemies, to protecting his allies. Its versatility makes it an asset to any team.
In addition, each of his ninjutsu can build up to “Kurama Link Mode”. Activate this technique to boost your speed, attack power, ninjutsu recovery, and healing (bonus: allies within range of the Kurama Link mode activation also share some of these buffs)! Don’t forget to use the finishing move before this mode wears off or you might miss an instant KO of your opponents.
Despite his flexibility and many strengths, Minato Namikaze (Resuscitation) can struggle in some areas. His offensive power is on the low side, and he’s not the most practical when it comes to one-on-one combat. To make up for these shortcomings, be sure to master his powerful ninjutsu and display the power of the Fourth Hokage, once known as the “Yellow Flash of Leaf” on the battlefield!
New ninja
Ninjutsu 1: Celestial Air Slice Type-Zero
This is an ultra-fast surprise attack that applies Flying Raijin Jutsu, throwing multiple Kunai and unleashing a barrage of discs around the enemy.
TOP: This attack affects a wide area and can devour a large number of enemies. The true value of this ninjutsu is revealed when used against opponents in close combat situations. When cornered or pressured by attackers in close proximity, unleash Celestial Air Slice Type-Zero to turn the tables!
Ninjutsu 2: Flying Raijin: Guiding Thunder
Use this ninjutsu to nullify your enemies’ long-range attacks. This technique places a space-time ninjutsu ward in the area where it is activated, neutralizing most enemy projectile attacks within its range.
TOP: By placing it around important objects such as scrolls, flags or pillars, this ninjutsu can provide strong support and an extra layer of defense to your team! This is particularly effective against ranged class types. Counterattack enemies that get too close to you.
Secret Technique: Flying Raijin: Jiku Shippu Senko Rennodan Zeroshiki
This is an extremely powerful attack series that combines Shadow Clone Jutsu and Flying Raijin Jutsu. Minato throws a kunai wave, resulting in a devastating finisher on contact!
TOP: This technique launches quickly and can be launched as a surprise attack from long range, so don’t miss the chance to use it at a critical stage of the battle!
Updates – Hidden Rain Village (renovated)
The Hidden Rain Village is being renovated in time for Season Pass 6! Previously, this map had two different layouts – one half of the map was covered with tall buildings and winding corridors, and the other half was a wide-open, flooded arena. The new map makes some important changes as buildings take up the surface and open areas are harder to reach. This can make traversing and fighting more intense as your opponents can be around every corner (or above you)!
Another notable addition to Hidden Village (Renovated) is a new pipe system that runs almost the entire perimeter of the map. These pipes can be used to roam the environment if you want to avoid traveling through clusters of buildings and to reduce the likelihood of surprise attacks. On the other hand, the pipes can be useful for head-to-head combat, since neither you nor your opponent will have much height advantage in these closed spaces.
Perhaps the biggest change to Hidden Rain Village (Renovated) is the new teleportation devices scattered around the area. Blue devices direct you vertically to rooftops or down to streets and flooded corridors. Conversely, yellow devices are designed for lateral movement and send to corresponding yellow devices. Use teleportation to quickly cover great distances or surprise or escape your enemies.
These new changes to Hidden Rain Village (renovated) offer more travel and strategy options and will no doubt make matchups more exciting!
