The Elder Scrolls Online Creative Director said in a interview made by Game Informer, there was a time when they developed several branches of history in which various topics related to Dwemer were explored. Until one day Todd Howard asked them to put those ideas behind them. To make such a production would remove the mystery of one of the most striking aspects of the created universe.
Currently, it is not known exactly where this new adventure will take place, but with all the information gathered, we could say that its respective location would be close to Morrowind. We can only hope that the developer will make a statement in the future, and resolve the doubts that have been raised.
We’ve taken a path where Todd Howard really made a rule over these things, but we chose it at a time when we were exploring the Dwemer. Everyone wants to know it, and we wanted to know it too. We were there digging, but Todd kindly reminded us that this was something we would never do, which would never be revealed because we would spoil the mystery and secrets of the Dwemer. We just explored it to get a good idea of how it works.
