As Xbox Insiders, your feedback helps inform the decisions and updates we make to Xbox. Everything from brand new features to how gamers interact with the console itself was born within the Insider program. Based on your important feedback, we've been continuing to do the following and will move you to select Insider viewers for the 2004 update.
Simplified Directory Layout
The guide is the heart of navigation on the Xbox One, and we want to bring you an experience that makes it easy to find the features you need during gaming.
With this week's update, we are trying to contact the person used to change the link including the following changes:
- The new default tab order opens a tabbed guide in the left-to-right configuration, whose order can continue to be customized in the "Profile and Schedule" tab
- The party, messages, and invitations have been merged into a new "Groups & Conversations" tab, giving you one place to interact with players.
- Settings, audio, and power options are now available in the "Profile and program" tab on the left of the Guide, as identified by your gamerpic.
- Looking for a group can be found in the "People" tab next to the "Find someone" option.
- App and app alerts are now listed under the instrument icon and other alerts.
We need your help with a new simplified Book! The new guide started transferring from Xbox Insiders earlier this month to Xbox Insiders, with more teams getting this feature in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for the Xbox Insider Xbox Wire interior for upcoming updates on support.
The Home experience will continue to evolve and change based on your feedback, so please let us know what you think by joining the conversation Xbox Insiders split! You may notice this structural change and come and go as we endure your feedback.
My Game Updates and Apps
With the 2004 update, we bring you more ways to test and manage your games faster! We moved the Security Management page to My Games and apps and gave it a little visual update.
We also came up with the popular “I am surprised!” The button we tried on holidays. In times when you're not sure what to play next, “Surprise me!” will suggest a random game in your library that meets your selected filtering criteria. The button is located in the right-hand corner of My Games and apps and can be accessed by pressing the Menu button on your control while navigating above the group title.
Improvements to Mixer's Most Viewed
We've also enhanced your Mixer viewing experience on the Xbox One! You can now see photo badges and subscribers in the conversation, while your Ember messages will get the right explosions, with a special style to help them stand out.
Additionally, we made it easy to access the streaming settings (either for dialog format or video quality) with a single click of a menu button on your controller. Aside from this change, we've also made a few other health settings, such as upgrading UX to radio hosting stations and uploading chat history when watching live streaming chat.
As a reminder, it is a resource for users and can see additional features not available here. These features enabled only the Xbox Insider audience to measure interest and collect feedback. Your participation in the Xbox Insider Program helps us improve the content and function and features that come with Xbox!
Thank you to all Xbox Insiders who are actively helping to build the Xbox experience. This 2004 update is probably due to the important feedback we receive as part of the program!
