New quick resume games and firmware available

New Quick Resume games are available for Xbox Insiders on Xbox Series X | S, and there are new controller and headset firmware.

The Xbox team has released another system update with new features for Xbox Series X | S for Xbox Insider.

If you are in the Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring, you can first test six more games with the Quick Resume feature on Xbox Series X | S, provided you have them.

The new Quick Resume games are:

Crosscode
Nobody’s heaven
The Falconeer
Guard dogs: Legion
Royal cuisine
Samurai Shodown

There are also new firmware updates for the Xbox Series X | S Wireless Controller and the new Xbox Wireless Headset.

While the new firmware for the controller improves the stability and connection under Bluetooth, the headset should no longer suddenly switch off during use.

New functions and experiences

We have exciting news! Alpha Skip-Ahead users can expect something new to come into their Xbox One update preview.

family

The Xbox Family Settings app now supports multiplayer approval for your child on a per-track basis! If your child wants to play a multiplayer game but doesn’t have permission, they can send a request to the app so that you can approve it remotely. You can also approve over your shoulder on the console. Parents can view their child’s account settings in the Xbox Family Settings app or on the web at https://account.microsoft.com/family. To try it out, you’ll need to download the Xbox Family Settings app and sign up for the Alpha or Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring. My games & apps

Users can now use the Pause My Game option in My Games and Apps to make sure your downloads are running at full speed while also making sure you can resume the song when the download is complete. This option can be found under My Games & Apps> Manage> Queue.

Corrections implemented

Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are happy to announce that the following fixes have been implemented for this build:

For the S | A new firmware update will be available for Xbox series X controllers that will address the following issues:
- Fixes for pairing, reconnection, and bluetooth stability.
- Fixes for addressing Bluetooth connections with Steam Link hardware.
New firmware for the new Xbox Wireless Headset that contains fixes for:
- The headset turns off unexpectedly during operation.
- Turns off automatic reduction of Xbox audio when initiating a call over Bluetooth.

Various updates to render the local languages correctly across the console

known problems

We know some issues were listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. These elements are not being ignored, but more Xbox engineers will be needed Time to find a solution.

We are still tracking these known issues:

Apps

Some apps can have problems displaying the user interface.
Some users have reported that the VUDU app is not working with the latest update.

Audio

Some users have reported not hearing audio with Dolby Atmos enabled.

Controller

We know that some users who own an Xbox Series X | Using S-Controller, find that it is out of sync with the console.
- Note: If this behavior occurs, try reconnecting the controller to the console via USB / wireless or, if possible, connect another controller and send feedback. Then restart the console and try to re-sync the controller.

Edge

Users report that the new browser does not allow users to select items with a controller.

Games

Some users report that their mouse is not working properly in Minecraft.
We have received reports of controller input not working when launching a game.

To lead

We are investigating reports that the audio mixer is unable to adjust chat / game audio levels.

HDMI

Some users have reported getting a black / blank screen when launching games / apps or when launching the console.
- Workaround: If this happens when starting a game / app, try accessing the manual and closing the game / app. If this happens on console startup, update Home from the manual.
