Microsoft is already working on the next generation of its Xbox console.
The next Xbox console is already in development at Microsoft. This emerges from documents from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
The documents are part of the investigation into the planned takeover of Activision Blizzard by the Microsoft group.
Accordingly, Microsoft was asked to submit documents or information for its tenth generation of consoles. This request was complied with and even gave the code name for its “Next Generation Gaming Eco System”. The name was, of course, blacked out, as is usual with such explosive information.
According to its own statements in the documents, the successor to the Xbox Series X | S follows “Microsoft’s future strategy for its console, subscription and cloud gaming businesses – in all markets”.
In March, documents from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) revealed the likely plans for a PlayStation 6, which is expected to be on the market after 2027.
