Download the new Orbital update for No Man’s Sky for free and visit the revamped space stations.
Hello Games introduces Orbital, the latest update for No Man’s Sky, now available on all platforms.
With today’s update, the space stations are getting a long-overdue overhaul, as travelers visit them every time they jump into a new system, for example to conduct trade, accept missions or treat themselves to upgrades.
The exterior of the space stations is now procedurally generated, meaning the shape should be different each time.
After you get through the docking lock with your spaceship, you will notice that the interior layouts also provide new variety.
Players will be particularly happy about the new ship builder. You can use it to create your desired configuration for your ship. Using salvaged parts from other ships, the assembly possibilities are unlimited. This also creates completely new form factors.
It is also worth visiting the three emissaries of the universe guilds at the new stations. Donate interesting artifacts to them to increase your reputation, which will give you various rewards such as cheap supplies and discounts, fuel or upgrades.
Also included in the update are the “Intervention Events” as part of the Freighter Expeditions. Now you can communicate with your frigates, even if they are at the ends of the galaxy. From now on they will ask you for further instructions, perhaps even for your help.
Like all previously released updates, Orbital is free for all players.
You can take a look at the innovations in the trailer. The full patch notes for the Orbital update are available here.
