EA remains with current game prices – no price increases planned!
Despite increasing development costs and price adjustments to other publishers, Electronic Arts (EA) is currently not planning to increase the prices for his games.
CFO Stuart Canfield declared during the announcement of the results for the third quarter of the 2025 financial year that the company “does not reflect on our current strategy at this time”.
This statement indicates that EA initially adheres to the existing price structures. This decision is made in a context in which the other large publisher, such as Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and Take-Two Interactive, have already made price increases for their titles in order to take into account the increased production costs.
EA, on the other hand, seems to be pursuing a different way, possibly to ensure the accessibility of his games for a wider audience.
It remains to be seen whether EA will maintain this strategy in the long term, especially in view of the dynamic developments in the game industry and the changing economic framework.
