Now all you can do is pray: INDIKA will be released on May 8th. The strange adventure will be playable on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
11 bit studios has announced that INDIKA – one of its most unique publishing titles and definitely a case for the “entertainment with depth” label – is coming to PC and consoles on May 8th.
Developed by studio Odd Meter, INDIKA plunges its players into an ambiguous, misleading and thought-provoking story about faith and believing in yourself.
INDIKA creates a seamless connection between narrative, environmental puzzles and platforming elements, addressing topics that are otherwise rarely explored in video games.
As a seemingly unconventional nun, does Indika have the power to intervene in God’s plan? Or will everything turn out as it was predetermined, so that any efforts on your part will be a waste of time?
And then there is Ilya. He’s up to his neck in it sinbut claims that God spoke to him. And more importantly, what about that other evil figure who is constantly looking over Indika’s shoulder, causing inconvenience and planting annoying thoughts in her head that make her think about questions better left unanswered?
Can passionate prayers help her escape madness?
At its core, INDIKA is one Third-person adventurethat mixes exploration with environmental puzzles and a touch of platforming. However, the themes of sin, grief and moral dilemmas are deeply rooted in INDIKA’s story, so the game goes beyond traditional gaming and is more like an art house film that questions social norms rather than just providing superficial entertainment.
INDIKA will be released on March 8th for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. A portion of the profits from sales will be donated to children affected by the war in Ukraine.
