The desert sands change, shattered by winds that are destroyed from another year. What gems will be unveiled? Yes, if Paladins Player, the answer is an entire Battle Pass full of Egyptian content! The Sands of Myth Battle Pass has arrived PaladinsNew upgrades that include the new skins of Tiberius, Raum, Ying, and Maeve, not to mention the extra 100 rewards! This update includes a re-entry of our Frog Isle map, the introduction of our new Death Card and compliments, and much more. Let's go in and discuss what makes us so excited about this review!
Ancient Egypt was a land of incomparable mystery and incomparable beauty. Our revival of the Sands of Myth is hoped to capture some of its beauty and mystery through the appreciation of the content inspired by ancient Egypt. Tomb Keeper Tiberius protects Pharaoh's funeral sites from trespassing and his military might, while Crypt Guardian Raum does the same with his insecure moments. Who would ever want to enter Pharaoh's restroom with evil protectors? Maybe Emerald Bandit Maeve, who knows nothing about fear when it comes to the promise of countless riches! Unpacking the skins of the Champion is the divine daughter, Hing Divine, who uses the power of her shattered mirror for her beds to praise the Nile gods. Whether you're a regular Howard Carter or just a fan of Brendan Fraser on The Mummy, we think you'll enjoy these amazing boots.
But this review is not just one of the greatest kings ever to rule the face of the earth. It also talks about frogs. Yes, you've heard that – we've given Frog Isle Map a great map to be proud of, especially to include nearly 700% of frogs. Just look at the screenshot below – can you believe all these frogs?! We told Alex, our master painter, that he might have been overriding the frogs, and he responded by simply adding frogs. We have frogs, frogs, frogs with waterfalls coming out of their mouths – frogs all the way down! And it's playing now on the Siege line!
A few other changes to this update that we would like to share, if you haven't already navigated to play the new Frog Isle map: Death Cards and compliments. First of all, Death Cards. In an attempt to slow down the flow of the game Paladins, this update sees the Killcam system replaced with the new Death Card system. Death Cards are simple: whenever a player is removed during a game, they will see a Death Card from the player you killed. Think of it as a calling card to remind your enemies of who the true MVP Death Cards can be found in Battle Passes (which starts with the Pepper Death Card at Sands of Myth!) Or purchased at the Store. Similarly, we have replaced the Top Play feature with a new recommendation system. This new system will allow you to reward your teammates with compliments after each game, and be known for your type of contribution to your team. Receiving recommendations will also earn you rewards over time, so the best players will have the opportunity to show how they are recognized for their team performance (which, in this case we are told, makes the dream work).
As usual, Sands of Myth is an update and features a large collection of bug fixes and bug fixes. We hope to see you at Realm in Sands of Myth, which is available right now on the Xbox One!
