Developers explain why dedicated servers aren’t supported on Xbox yet
Palworld arrived on Xbox Game Pass and PC GamePass last Friday and based on early player stats from Steam and Twitch, this could end up being one of the most popular releases of the entire year, as it’s seeing unexpected success so far. In just 3 days, he managed to sell 5 million copies and reached player records day after day.
The good news is that you can play Palworld with your friends, since The game supports up to four players at once on Xbox Game Passand this includes cross-platform support with the Game Pass PC version.
However, the only downside to Palworld on Xbox is that at the moment it does not have dedicated servers
The reason was explained by Palworld’s Community Manager on Discord earlier this week.:
“Xbox only supports co-op mode. However, Xbox and PC players can play together. We would like to have dedicated servers on Xbox, but unfortunately this is not up to us and it is quite difficult to negotiate at the moment. But… we try!
So if you want to play Palworld on a server dedicated to launch, you will need to invest in the Steam version. Fingers crossed that this feature eventually comes to Xbox, but there are no guarantees.
