Perfect Dark is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated titles within Xbox, and of which we know little since its official presentation at the Game Awards 2020. It is something that can always generate many doubts regarding the development (let’s not forget Elden Ring before its first gameplay), but that doesn’t mean things are going badly at all.
Nevertheless, it is undeniable that the aforementioned doubts are more difficult to dispel, when we learn that an important development figure leaves the study, a situation that we have come to comment on today.
Perfect Dark director leaves The Initiative
And it is that as we were able to discover thanks to Klobrille (a user will reset), Dan Neuburger, former director of the Tomb Raider saga and now of Perfect Dark, has left The Initiative, leaving the long-awaited first title developed by this colossal studio without a director.
This user discovered this while searching for the Linkedin profile of Dan himself, where their participation in the study has been updated to clarify that it ended in February 2022, after 3 years and 8 months of participation. This unfortunately leaves the game in a difficult situation, especially in the face of the possibility of seeing a first gameplay during the next E3. For now, we have to wait for news in this regard, but always with the hope that everything will go forward with a firm and safe course.
