Konami has just introduced the first new features for its 2022 edition football game Pro evolution soccer, it must be called now eFootball. And this name change goes hand in hand with major changes in the license. Indeed the title becomes Free-to-play and only available in dematerialized format. The release is for Xbox Series X | this fall S, Xbox One, PC and PlayStation consoles planned. Mobile versions are also expected but will arrive later.
As, Crossplay will be the rendezvous between all machines. The only requirement for iOS and Android players is to connect a controller to access it. The feature will be introduced in three phases as you can see in the picture below. You can play with your previous generation friends from the same manufacturer. Then there will be an opportunity to face PC gamers. And finally, those who use their mobile phones will join in too. Konami wants to turn their soccer game into the most accessible platform possible
For the time being, the developers have remained vague about the launch content that is available for free. The roadmap suggests exhibition games will be available with a choice of nine teams. No information was given on monetization. But Konami says everything has been done to make sure the title is “fair and balanced”. Also, we can see that a semblance of Battle Pass is planned.
Player animation improvements
Another novelty that has already been communicated Japanese developer gives up Fox Engine and turns to Unreal Engine 4. This allowed the teams to create animations that were four times richer than the previous PES. Note that this enhancement will be available in all versions of the game.
