The doubts that the stability and popularity of E3 generated are still valid. Since the last event was canceled, everything seems to be back to normal for this year 2023, even if the presence of big competitors like PlayStation and the possible departure of Nintendo, Phil Spencer seems enthusiastic on the subject and hopes that it will continue to be an event for the meeting of many players.
In the recent interview with IGN, Phil Spencer, in addition to discussing other more important topics in terms of news, also had time to talk about E3 and its importance for the industry; in addition to dropping that they are already preparing their presentation with several games. And it is that Phil seems to like it, since he comments that it is a special event with a lot of weight for the communion of the community in Los Angeles, so yes, Xbox will also be present this year.
I love the story of going to LA, thousands of people there, being able to see cool new things…meeting people from the industry, the fan events we’ve done. I really want this to continue
An E3 without Xbox, impossible. Everything that awaits us in 2023 will be impressive
Although several of the announced and most anticipated games are releasing in the first half, many more have a date yet to be confirmed and with a strong possibility that it will be in the second half of 2023. Redfall, Forza Motorsport, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Atomic Heart are titles that will arrive very soon and before the June event. But there are other games that we haven’t confirmed yet, such as Starfield, Replaced, and STALKER 2, no less games that may have a special presentation.
But it’s not just the games confirmed for this year, as Xbox may announce other big projects coming out in other years or even surprise us with camouflaged releases like Hi-Fi Rush. Gears 6 or a remaster of one of those games, battle royale Halo Infinite, and even new Perfect Dark news are things we can look forward to and would be a guaranteed bomb. The limit is the sky.
At the moment Phil Spencer has not said much more, but we can already assume that they are preparing a presentation worthy of surprising us all, or at least enlightening us on the future of the company regarding the purchase of Activision and the launch of the titles slopes.
So we’ve placed our storefront, as we always have, at a time when we hope it’s convenient for the press and even for consumers attending the E3 event, and that’s what we’re trying to do now. We will continue to work with ESA on their projects. Like I said, we’re on the board and we want to make sure we’re doing everything we can to help make E3 a success.
