After the takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk, the riot aroused by the eccentric millionaire prompted most of the most profitable advertisers to stop their investments there. This means losing around 23% of annual revenue on a platform that, even with this amount, was already loss-making.
Thus, and with this image, many brands are already rethinking their strategy in the aforementioned social network, which of course does not generate trust. For several days, there have even been fears that Musk will end up closing the company, which, fortunately, does not seem to be happening. I really love Twitter, and it would hurt to see it die.
Phil Spencer tries Mastodon
The issue of checks and cartsas well as the request for payment to be verified, moved certain artists or personalities to Mastodon, which is a decentralized and open source platform. It’s not a literal move, but a test to see how this network works.
And good old Phil Spencer is one of those who took the plunge. Its activity is not the same as that of Twitter, it must be said, but it seems that the manager is doing tests in case at some point it is necessary to say goodbye to the blue bird network and say hello to the elephant network.
Play with Mastodon, and you can find me there for now at https://t.co/c0xPc2OqK7. Thanks to @aarongreenberg for server suggestion.
